The November 30, 2010, deadline is serious for the first round of REACH registrations (>1000 metric tonnes, carcinogens, mutagens,, reproductive toxins and very ecotoxic chemicals >100 tonnes).  ECHA warns that you will only get one chance to fix incomplete registrations if submitted on deadline (the record of incompletes is poor for early registrants so far).  As enticement to submit early, incompletes get more rounds to fix things and consultations go to the head of the Helpdesk line. http://echa.europa.eu/enews/2010_06/20100630.html

Failure to file a REACH registration on time means the product must be removed from the market.
