EPA published the first 10 commercial chemicals it will tackle under the reformed TSCA – heading toward significant restrictions, if not bans, within the next 3 years:

  • 1,4-Dioxane
  • 1-Bromopropane
  • Asbestos
  • Carbon Tetrachloride
  • Cyclic Aliphatic Bromide Cluster
  • Methylene Chloride
  • N-methylpyrrolidone
  • Pigment Violet 29
  • Tetrachloroethylene, also known as perchloroethylene
  • Trichloroethylene

They ought to be able to move "fast" as these chemicals have been studied to death, but it will be the test of how the Lautenberg version of TSCA works (or doesn't).
