Pruitt isn’t listening to you.  He’s throwing out all the hard work you did writing regulations!  Instead of having permission (and encouragement) to throw every bell and whistle you could into a rule, you now have to protect the core risk management principles you were trying to achieve.

Don't let Pruitt throw the baby out with the bathwater.

But he doesn't listen to career EPA staff!  So what are you going to do about it?

  • write clear and concise arguments, backed by hard data, for what needs to be done
  • hone your messages and the requirements to the minimum
  • describe how states, businesses, and communities can achieve real risk reduction on their own
  • grab the highest boss and request a meeting with Pruitt and his favored advisors, backed by crisp support documents

Recycle the bathwater and pare things down to the most significant risk reduction measures.  Quit whining and work it.
