ECHA now lists 31 chemicals for which authorization for use applications must be filed under REACH. See list here.  New listings have application deadlines of Feb 22, 2016 to July 22, 2017.  Some of the new listings include: EDC, MOCA, arsenic acid, diglyme and several chromate compounds.

Sunset dates for the 31 chemicals - after which unapproved use is prohibited range from August 21, 2014 (for MDA) to January 1, 2019 for the latest group.

Limited uses have been approved for a couple phthalates in medicinal products according to the list.  ECHA has OK'd Rolls Royce for use of DEHP to make airplane engine blades, but the European Commission has to make the final call.

ECHA offers this chart for when downstream users can rely on authorizations granted here.  As with registration, your supply chain has to get the authorization.
