Nicely done Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) on hand drying: high speed electric dryers, slow poke blowers, cotton rolls and paper towels.  Sponsored by Dyson of Airblade™ fame (guess who comes out best by far).  The MIT study appears to be very thorough and fair and throws in sensitivity analyses on assumptions, too.  Obviously,  the feeble air dryers are worst - and they don't dry your hands.  But perhaps surprising to some is how poorly even 100% recycled paper towels do.  (Of course, they didn't look at surreptitiously wiping your wet hands on your pants.) Worth a serious scan.

I like the Airblade™ - it's very fast and very effective and it makes me feel high tech cool, too!  Nice to see it pulls great numbers on LCA.
