We don't need more regulations. Enforce those we already have.
What we need is universal condemnation and jail time for actions by criminals.
VW as a company is going to have to work incredibly hard to repair not only its cars, but more importantly, its reputation caused by this failure of corporate responsibility. Paying a huge fine and buying customers new cars is not enough. VW needs to show it is establishing and enforcing a culture of product stewardship, with zero tolerance for criminal behavior.
