REACH Round Two: 3,000 More Chemicals

The second round of REACH registrations (100 – 1, 000 tonnes) ended May 31, 2013, with 3,215 companies submitting over 9,000 dossiers for a little under 3,000 substances.

Apparently 20% were submitted by micro, small or medium sized companies.

The last round is not until 2018 for the next round that picks up 1 - 100 tonne chemicals.  In addition, anyone who will pass a threshold of 100 tonnes would need to submit a registration beforehand.

December 18, 2013,  REACH Registration numbers update:  The database now contains 10,655 unique substances and information from 41,973 registrations.  ECHA has also made searching the database more robust.
