Once again, EPA pounds more nails in the coffin of discontinued PFOA and PFAS-based perfluorochemicals compounds by proposing a SNUR for anyone who resumes manufacture or import, including import on coated articles (which are usually exempt from SNURs).  Major manufacturers long ago voluntarily began to phase out or cease manufacture, but it's possible some articles (textiles and carpets) could still be imported.
EPA is claiming credit for the 41% reduction in blood levels seen in the population, even though voluntary product stewardship actions preceded the agency's efforts.
