The National Association for Environmental Management (NAEM) has issued a trends report, "Planning for a Sustainable Future" that highlights several areas that leading companies and thinkers in sustainability are adopting:

• Integration:  embed sustainability into all levels of the organization.

• Engagement: internal and external stakeholders.

• Transparency: "...a business management norm in the age of sustainability. It even has become a business driver in and of itself, particularly for product stewardship initiatives and for suppliers with a business-to-business orientation."

• Collaboration:  working both within and outside a company to solve challenges

• Resilience: It's the new buzz.  See my recent post
